Add PaidSync as a Model Context Protocol tool in Copilot Studio. Server URL https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp, authentication OAuth 2.0 with Dynamic discovery, transport Streamable HTTP. Sign in with your PaidSync login and Copilot can read every Google Ads report and make changes through 92 write tools, covering campaigns, budgets, bids, keywords, negatives, ads and assets. Every change is held for your approval before it runs. Copilot Studio needs a work or school account. The consumer Copilot app does not accept custom MCP servers.
This is the Google Ads version of the full Copilot guide. It walks the five steps with the exact field values, then lists what Copilot can read and change once connected. Teams that want the Copilot Studio agent set up for them can start from the Copilot Studio page.
If your tenant runs Power Platform DLP policies, those govern the connection. In most tenants an admin also approves the published agent before it shows up in Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Worth pinging IT before you start.
Go to paidsync.ai/signup and create an account with Google or email. The free plan is $0 and includes 15 tasks a month. No card.
In the dashboard click Connect Google Ads. A Google sign-in window opens. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your Google Ads account and approve the request.
PaidSync receives a scoped token from Google and stores it encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Your Google password never touches PaidSync or Copilot.
Your Google Ads accounts now appear in the dashboard. Under a manager account every child account is listed. Choose the one Copilot should work in as the active account.
You are not locked in. Ask Copilot to use a different account mid-conversation and it switches. Agencies run every client from one connection this way.
In Copilot Studio open your agent, then Tools, Add a tool, New tool, Model Context Protocol. Server name PaidSync, a short description, and the server URL:
https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcpAuthentication: OAuth 2.0, then Dynamic discovery. PaidSync publishes the OAuth discovery metadata and supports dynamic client registration, so no client ID is typed. If your tenant blocks that, choose API key as a Query parameter named api_key with your ps_ key. Transport is Streamable HTTP.
Click Create, then Add to agent. Test in the studio, then publish to the Microsoft 365 Copilot channel. Tenant DLP policies on Power Platform connectors govern the connection, and most tenants need an admin to approve the published agent.
Field names and values above are checked against Microsoft's Copilot Studio documentation as of September 1, 2026.
In the agent's test pane, or in Microsoft 365 Copilot once the agent is published, send this.
Then try a change. Ask it to pause one keyword. Instead of doing it, Copilot returns an approval card with the exact change. Nothing happens until you approve.
One endpoint. 500+ tools across 14 ad and analytics platforms. Every change held for approval.

On the read side Copilot pulls campaign, ad group, keyword and search term performance, quality scores, auction insights, budget pacing, change history and conversion tracking status, and runs a full account audit in one call (get_campaign_performance, get_keyword_performance, get_search_terms_report, get_wasted_spend_report, get_quality_score_report, get_auction_insights, get_budget_pacing, get_change_history, run_account_audit).
How approval works. Every write is held for your approval before it runs. Most write tools accept dry_run, which returns the exact planned change without touching the account. Removing a campaign or an asset needs an explicit confirm_destructive step on top. Approved changes land as cards in the PaidSync workspace with one-tap undo and a 7-day outcome check.
Because the same endpoint carries Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft Advertising, GA4 and the rest of the 14 platforms, one prompt can compare Google Ads CPA against LinkedIn lead cost or check GA4 landing pages for a Search campaign. Saved workflows (Plus, Pro and Max) let you run the same audit every Monday with one call.
People mix these up, and the mix-up is why so many "connect Google Ads to Copilot" searches end in a dead end. They are two halves of one system.

Two products sit outside this pair. The consumer Copilot app (the one on copilot.microsoft.com and in Windows) does not accept custom MCP servers at all. GitHub Copilot in VS Code does, but it is a developer tool, covered next.
GitHub Copilot in VS Code is a different product from Microsoft 365 Copilot. It accepts MCP servers directly, no Copilot Studio and no tenant admin involved. Useful if you are a developer or a marketer who lives in an editor.
Press Cmd+Shift+P (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows), run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP, paste the same URL, and sign in when prompted.
https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcpThe tools, the approval gating and the account picking are identical to the Copilot Studio path.
Google publishes its own Google Ads MCP server at developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/developer-toolkit/mcp-server. It is strictly read-only, exposes 3 tools, and you host it yourself with your own developer token. It can answer "how did this campaign do" but it cannot pause the campaign, add a negative or change a budget.
PaidSync is a hosted endpoint. 149 Google Ads tools, 92 of them writes, every write held for approval, and the same endpoint covers 13 more platforms. If you only ever want to read, Google's server is a fine free option once you have the developer token. If you want Copilot to act, that is what this page is for.
PaidSync is free for 15 tasks a month. Pro starts at $99 a month and Team at $249 a month. A task is one unit of work, a report or an applied change. Full detail on the pricing page. Copilot Studio is licensed separately by Microsoft.
Yes, through a Copilot Studio agent with PaidSync added as a Model Context Protocol tool. Copilot can read every Google Ads report and use 92 write tools covering campaigns, budgets, bids, keywords, negatives, ads and assets. Every change is held for your approval before it runs.
Copilot Studio with a work or school account. It is included with Microsoft 365 Copilot licences and available as a standalone subscription or 30-day trial. After you publish the agent to the Microsoft 365 Copilot channel, people use it in Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot. The consumer Copilot app does not accept custom MCP servers.
No. The consumer Copilot app does not accept custom MCP servers, so there is nowhere to paste the PaidSync URL. You need Copilot Studio, or GitHub Copilot in VS Code, which is a separate product that does accept MCP servers.
Yes. Google renamed AdWords to Google Ads in 2018. The account, the sign-in and the five steps on this page are identical. If a guide or a colleague says AdWords, follow the Google Ads steps.
Google publishes one at developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/developer-toolkit/mcp-server. It is strictly read-only, exposes 3 tools, and you host it yourself. It cannot pause a campaign or add a negative keyword. PaidSync is a hosted endpoint with 149 Google Ads tools, 92 of them writes, each held for approval.
No. Every write is held for approval before it runs. Most write tools accept dry_run, which returns the exact planned change without touching the account. Destructive operations such as removing a campaign need an explicit confirm_destructive step. Approved changes get a one-tap undo and a 7-day outcome check in the PaidSync workspace.
For reading, yes. Choose API key as a Query parameter named api_key with your ps_ key, or use https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp?api_key=ps_your_key_here as the URL. Applying a change requires the OAuth 2.0 sign-in, and a key in a URL lands in logs, so OAuth with Dynamic discovery is the recommended path.
Yes. Sign in with the Google account that has access to the manager account. Every child account is listed, and Copilot switches between them on request. One PaidSync connection covers every client under the manager.
PaidSync is free for 15 tasks a month. Pro starts at $99 a month and Team at $249 a month. Copilot Studio is licensed by Microsoft through Microsoft 365 Copilot or a standalone Copilot Studio subscription, with a 30-day trial available.
Yes, and it is a different product from Microsoft 365 Copilot. In VS Code press Cmd+Shift+P (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows), run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP, paste https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp and sign in when prompted. The same tools and the same approval gating apply.
