$500M+ managed. Google Premier Partner (top 3%). 500+ MCP tools

Connect Google Analytics 4 to Microsoft Copilot by adding PaidSync as a tool in Copilot Studio. Server URL https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp, sign-in with OAuth 2.0. Copilot then reads sessions, conversions and traffic sources from your GA4 property in plain English, and can set up conversion events and custom dimensions. Every change waits for your approval. Setup takes under 5 minutes.

GA4's interface is powerful but dense. Copilot gives you a faster path to the numbers you actually need, without building reports from scratch each time.

What Copilot Can Do With Your GA4 Data

Through PaidSync, Copilot gets 26 GA4 tools: reporting through the official GA4 Data API, plus configuration tools for conversion events, custom dimensions and data streams, each held for approval. Here is what you can query in a conversation.

Traffic and acquisition reports

Ask Copilot which channels drove the most sessions last week, how organic traffic compares to paid, or which campaigns are sending the most engaged users. Copilot pulls the data directly from GA4 and formats it in plain language.

Conversion and event analysis

Copilot can pull your conversion events, tell you which pages have the highest and lowest conversion rates, and compare conversion performance across traffic sources. Useful for quickly spotting where a paid campaign is converting well or losing users.

Audience behavior

Ask about new vs returning users, session duration, pages per session, bounce and engagement rates, and device breakdowns. Copilot can segment these by channel, country, or date range on request.

Top pages and content performance

Copilot can list your top pages by sessions, engagement time, or scroll depth. Ask which landing pages are getting traffic but not converting, and Copilot will surface that gap from your GA4 data.

Cross-channel joins with ad data

Because PaidSync connects GA4 alongside your ad accounts, you can ask Copilot to compare GA4 traffic data with your Google Ads or Meta Ads spend in the same conversation. This cross-channel view is where the real insights are. GA4 shows what happened on site; your ad accounts show what you paid to get there.

How to Connect GA4 to Copilot in 5 Steps

1

Create a PaidSync account

Go to paidsync.ai/signup. Free plan, no credit card. You get 15 tasks per month from day one.

2

Connect your GA4 property

In the PaidSync dashboard, click Connect GA4. Authorize with the Google account that has access to your Analytics property. PaidSync requests access to your Analytics property through Google's official APIs. You can revoke it from your Google account at any time.

3

Choose how Copilot signs in to PaidSync

OAuth 2.0 is the default. Copilot Studio discovers PaidSync's sign-in metadata on its own and you log in with your PaidSync login. Any change to your account needs OAuth. For read-only use, an API key from PaidSync Settings (format: ps_...) also works, sent as a query parameter named api_key.

4

Add PaidSync to Microsoft Copilot through Copilot Studio

Microsoft 365 Copilot reaches custom MCP servers through a Copilot Studio agent. In Copilot Studio open your agent, then Tools, Add a tool, New tool, Model Context Protocol. Server name PaidSync, a short description, and the server URL:

https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp

Authentication: choose OAuth 2.0, then Dynamic discovery (PaidSync publishes the discovery metadata Copilot Studio looks for), or API key sent as a Query parameter named api_key with your ps_ key. Transport is Streamable HTTP. Click Create, then Add to agent.

Publish the agent to the Microsoft 365 Copilot channel. Most tenants need an admin to approve it before it appears in Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Copilot Studio needs a work or school account, included with Microsoft 365 Copilot licences or as a standalone Copilot Studio subscription or trial. The consumer Copilot app does not accept custom MCP servers. Field-by-field walkthrough: Connect any ad platform to Microsoft Copilot.

5

Run your first GA4 query

Ask Copilot: "What were my top 5 traffic sources last week?" If GA4 data returns in the response, the connection is working. You are ready to query your analytics in conversation.

GitHub Copilot in VS Code is a different product from Microsoft 365 Copilot. Press Cmd+Shift+P (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows), run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP, paste the same URL https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp, and sign in when prompted.

Example Copilot Prompts for GA4

"How did organic search traffic perform last month vs the month before?"
Copilot pulls sessions, users, and engagement metrics for organic search across both periods and highlights the trend.
"Which landing pages are getting the most traffic but have the lowest conversion rate?"
Copilot cross-references page views and conversion events to surface the biggest opportunity gaps in your funnel.
"What device types drive the most conversions and what is the mobile vs desktop split?"
Copilot breaks down conversion events by device category and shows the relative performance of each.
"Compare the conversion rate from paid search vs social in the last 30 days"
Copilot segments conversion data by default channel group and returns a side-by-side comparison with session counts and rates.
"Show me the countries that sent the most engaged sessions last quarter"
Copilot pulls sessions with above-average engagement time by country and ranks them for the selected date range.

GA4 in the Microsoft 365 Workflow

Teams running on Microsoft 365 benefit from having GA4 data accessible inside the same environment as Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Instead of opening the GA4 interface, switching tabs, and building reports, you can ask Copilot about your analytics directly in a chat window. The agent reaches Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot once it is published to the Microsoft 365 Copilot channel and, in most tenants, an admin has approved it.

For performance marketers, the most useful Copilot setup is GA4 connected alongside your ad accounts. PaidSync supports all 14 platforms in one account: Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Search Console, and Merchant Center.

PaidSync also connects GA4 to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. Connect once and use any AI.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Microsoft Copilot support GA4 data through MCP?

Yes, through Copilot Studio. Microsoft 365 Copilot reaches custom MCP servers through a Copilot Studio agent, which needs a work or school account. Add PaidSync as a Model Context Protocol tool at https://mcp.paidsync.ai/mcp, sign in with OAuth 2.0, and publish the agent to the Microsoft 365 Copilot channel. Copilot then has live GA4 access. GitHub Copilot in VS Code is a separate product and connects to the same endpoint. The consumer Copilot app does not accept custom MCP servers.

Is PaidSync free for GA4 and Copilot?

Yes. PaidSync offers a free plan with 15 tasks per month at $0, no credit card required. Paid plans start at $99/month on Pro (600 tasks), with Pro options up to $199/month for 4,000 tasks. Team plans start at $249/month for 5 seats.

Can Copilot write to GA4 or only read data?

Both. Reporting is read only through the GA4 Data API. PaidSync also carries GA4 configuration tools, such as creating conversion events, custom dimensions and data streams. Every write is held for your approval before it runs, and nothing edits your historical data.

Which GA4 reports can Copilot access?

Sessions, users, page views, bounce rate, engagement rate, conversion events, traffic by channel, top pages, audience demographics, device breakdowns, and custom event parameters through the GA4 Data API.

Can I combine GA4 data with ad account data in the same Copilot conversation?

Yes. PaidSync connects GA4 alongside Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and other platforms in the same account. You can cross-reference GA4 conversion data with your ad spend in a single Copilot conversation.

Does PaidSync work with Claude and ChatGPT for GA4 as well?

Yes. The same PaidSync account works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot. Connect GA4 once and use it across all AI engines.
